A low-cost, heavily regulated broker built for active forex & CFD traders.
Pepperstone is one of the most strongly regulated brokers we assess — seven authorities including the FCA, ASIC and CySEC — paired with genuinely low raw-spread pricing and a deep platform line-up. A standout for cost-conscious, active traders who value fund safety.
The score, by criterion
Regulation carries the most weight in our methodology, and it is where Pepperstone is strongest — authorised across seven jurisdictions, including three tier-1 authorities (FCA, ASIC, CySEC). Each licence below can be checked directly in the regulator's own public register.
| Regulator | Jurisdiction | Licence / reg. no. | Legal entity |
|---|---|---|---|
| FCA | United Kingdom | 684312 | Pepperstone Limited |
| ASIC | Australia | AFSL 414530 | Pepperstone Group Limited |
| CySEC | Cyprus (EU) | 388/20 | Pepperstone EU Limited |
| BaFin | Germany | 151148 | Pepperstone GmbH |
| DFSA | Dubai (DIFC) | F004356 | Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Limited |
| CMA | Kenya | 128 | Pepperstone Markets Kenya Limited |
| SCB | The Bahamas | SIA-F217 | Pepperstone Markets Limited |
Two pricing models: the Standard account is commission-free with the cost in a spread from ~1.0 pip on EUR/USD, while the Razor account pays a raw spread from ~0.0–0.1 pips plus roughly US$7 per lot round-turn (about US$6 on cTrader). For active traders, the all-in Razor cost is among the lowest we measure.
Pepperstone is platform-agnostic in the best sense — MT4, MT5 and cTrader plus TradingView integration and its own apps — across over 1,200 markets. That breadth suits algorithmic traders (cTrader, MT5) and chart-first discretionary traders (TradingView) alike.
A natural fit for cost-conscious, active forex and CFD traders who want tier-1 regulation, raw pricing and a serious platform line-up. Those who specifically want to own shares, or prefer a single all-in-one proprietary platform, may find its CFD-only model less suited.
Trading forex & CFDs carries a high risk of loss — between 74% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. This is independent editorial analysis, not financial advice or a recommendation to trade. Figures such as spreads and licences were verified as of August 2026 and may change; always confirm current terms and licence status in the regulator's own register.
